To find the stories for the New Voices Film Lab, we made an open call for scripts from the community asking for New Brunswick stories that could happen in a cafe and we received a great response.

We optioned twelve scripts and the chosen writers then worked with our story editors over a summer of revisions.

At the beginning of August, the revised scripts were presented to the eight New Voices filmmakers and they ranked their preferences. Almost all the filmmakers got their first choice.
