Emerging Voices in Film

What is the New Voices Film Lab?

The New Voices Film Lab will provide developing filmmakers with the challenge to step into key leadership roles on set and, through this intensive experience, define the film professional they want to become.

Frictive Pictures, in collaboration with the University of New Brunswick and Bell Fibe TV1, is producing a film lab focused on inspiring and supporting new voices in filmmaking. Eight Fredericton participants will will cycle through key roles on a film set, directing, editing, camera operating, all mentored by industry professionals as they produce eight short films.

This lab is designed as a studio experience, building films through a collaborative and immersive environment.  The short films produced through the lab will appear as an Anthology series on Bell Fibe TV1.
